I've been working every week with my grandpa to get the bat perfectly shaped. The past couple of weeks we cute all the access wood of the outside to make the bat the same size as my 31 inch manufactured bat. We used tools i got from my dad to help sand down the bat a little quicker than using our hands. Last week we went and bought a know and screwed it on the bat. Now all I have to do is sand it to get it perfectly round, paint it, put a finished glossy coat on it to protect the wood, then test my homemade bat against my manufactured bat.

This week, I went shopping for materials to make my baseball bat. We went to Lowe's home improvement in Winston and bought pieces of sandpaper and a wooden table leg to shape up and turn into a bat.
This week, I worked on watching YouTube videos on how to make wood bats and the process of making one. I learned that in order to make the bat the right weight you have to hollow out a hole through the middle of the bat down until you get into the handle. Also, you put a cup in the end of the bat to reduce weight.
